MAYBE OBAMACARE ISN'T SO BAD AFTER ALL

Little Sammy.
OK, maybe I’m wrong.  Maybe Obamacare is the solution this country needs.  After all it’s not like it’s the first controversial piece of legislation in the nation’s history.  Way back when Uncle Sam was just a baby we had a little thing called the Constitution.  They fought over that, too.  So I started to wonder, is Obamacare the next Constitution? (Videos are at the end.)

A legend in his own mind.
On the surface they’re almost identical.  The Constitution was also written in secret. (Although no one had claimed government would be transparent or that the American people would have five days to look over laws in 1787Video One.  Heck, C-Span didn’t even exist yet so they couldn’t have broadcast the debates live even if they had promised they would.) When the Constitution was finished, like with Obamacare, there was a lot of concern over what it meant for America.  Finally, like the framers of Obamacare (and Obama himself), some of the framers of the Constitution thought the president should be crowned King.  Then I realized, the similarities ended there…

When the Constitution was being written, delegates came from everywhere with the understanding that something had to be done.  They weren’t all on the same page, but at least they were all reading from the same book.  All states were represented, well with the exception of Rhode Island.  As I understand it, Rhode Island was afraid that if they sent both of their delegates to the convention it would leave the state empty, and there was concern Connecticut or Massachusetts would call “finders keepers,” or “findahs keepahs” in the case of Massachusetts.

Obama + Marx = Obamarx = Obama Rx = Obamacare!
C'mon liberals, admit it, that was clever!

The debate was heated and lively, but they worked toward a belief that they all shared in some way, shape, or form.  Conversely, Obamacare was more like one man driving his party to crush the resistance.  Precisely the type of power the Constitutional framers did NOT want the president to have.  Ironic. Stranger still is the fact that Obama spelled backwards is Amabo, which when run through a WWII German “Enigma” Cypher gives the ominous result, “I Marx.” Creepy, right!?

After the Constitution was completed the states were allowed to read it, discuss it, and see if it looked better over the mantle or the sofa.  Even Rhode Island was given a copy, but because both members thought the other guy was looking it over they didn’t get around to ratifying it until 1790.  The people were given YEARS to find out what was in it and approve it, unlike Obamacare which we had to approve (immediately) to find out what was in itVideo Two.  The ideology of the Constitution was painstakingly explained in The Federalist (Papers)* so that Americans could understand it and embrace it and each state was given a voice to determine whether or not it would be enacted.  Obamacare is still a mystery to most Americans (in fairness, the Constitution is too these days), was passed using coercion and bribes, and has resulted in over half of states suing the central government.

The Constitution was designed to create a federal government with legitimate, but limited power.  Obamacare was designed to usurp more power for the federal government.

Ditz.
The Constitution did not promise to create jobs  (and the Constitution didn’t lie).  Obamacare promised 4,000,000 jobs, 400,000 almost immediatelyVideo Three (which was a lie).  The 9.2% of (reported) Americans that can’t find a job and the 7% of Americans that are underemployed are still waiting Nancy.  Ditz.

The Constitution was written so a nation of people could throw off the governmental chains of tyrants.  Obamacare seeks to put more of us in chains, and to further empower tyrants.

Anthony Weiner didn’t vote for the Constitution… but he DID vote for Obamacare.  I think my point is made.

No, Obamacare will not be the next Constitution, Obama will never be a Madison (or even a Carter at this rate), and Pepsi will never be as good as Coke.  These are the cold, hard facts of the world we live in. Deal with it. Oh, and send your Senators and Congressmen a friendly reminder that you want Obamacare gone, and the Constitution back.
